Activation error. x509: certificate has expired or is not yet valid
ScanDoc cannot be activated or updated on an operating system that is not supported by Microsoft and does not receive regular updates. Errors occur due to the lack of up-to-date root certificates.
Automatic update
Note: Works only on operating systems supported by Microsoft
Go to "Windows Update" and update to the latest version
Manual update of root certificates:
Download utilities: https://media.kaspersky.com/utilities/CorporateUtilities/rootsupd.zip
1. Create an up-to-date list of root certificates on a computer running regularly updated Windows 10. Run the command:
certutil.exe -generateSSTFromWU roots.sst
2. Transfer the obtained roots.sst file to the C:\PS\rootsupd\ folder on the computer where you need to manually update the root certificates.
3. Download rootsupd.zip archive and extract rootsupd.exe from it.
4. Run rootsupd.exe with parameters:
rootsupd.exe /c /t:C:\PS\rootsupd
5. Click "No" in the window that appears:
6. Make sure that the updroots.exe utility is present in the folder after executing the command.
7. Install up-to-date root certificates using updroots.exe utility. To do this, run the command:
updroots.exe roots.sst
Root certificates will be updated.
